It would be more helpful if the website bookmarks were provided at the beginning of class, and students had a opportunity (and instructions) on how to create decoy Facebook and Twitter accounts prior to class. Good class, great info, wish the overhead projector was better; couldn't see a lot of the stuff on the screen.

I would of liked some more hands on training to absorb the material better. He presented the possibilities of things, but did not consistantly allow the student to veryify the process and gain more details about the viability of the link.

The course was very good however, it really broke down the basics of sites like Facebook which all but two officers were already very familiar with. Not sure how you would break this down but it almost seems like you could operate a basic and advanced course in some way. Those with limited computer skills and internet search abilities could attend the basic class while others could attend the advanced. Also, I would have like to search for targets (people) on the internet based on either real or fake account information. It's one thing to listen on how to use these internet tools and sites. It's another to do an active search for them.

I had been to a similar class, so unfortunately I did not learn a lot. I believe it was useful information for those who hadn't been through a course like this.

Loved the course, but I learn better by doing. Would have been nice to been provided all the links on the first day of class, so I could have tabbed along with each site as the instructor showed them. When I opened up all the provided tabs, on my own after class was over, I did not know/remember what a lot of them were for. Talked to other classmates and they all agreed.

For those who are less computer/social media savvy than others (like me), it would be helpful to have hands-on exercises that have been specifically designed by the instructor so that each student can gauge his/her results against a standard.

A good overview of what's available. A bit basic, and mundane going over hundreds of different websites, but I'm not sure how else the information could have been presented.

I would recommend more hands on activities. Also at no fault to instructor, the projector had a very low light which made it very hard to read.

Try to avoid falling into the rhythm of just reading off websites, telling us what they do, and moving on. If you included a few more interactive, hands on exercises it would make the class much more interesting.
