Poor class. For a class that was supposed to be about the dark web, very little time was actually spend on it. Students where required to bring a computer, yet the availability of power strips and WiFi were nonexistent. Material was incredibly basic as was the presentation. The use of you tube videos should be supplemental to the material, not the main basis. Due to lack of material, we did not even complete a full 8 hour day.

The presenter did a great job. Some of the info in the handout is a bit outdated, other than that it was a good course

The instructor was knowledgeable on the topic; however I would have liked to learn more about the subject content rather than OSINT and social media information. Some of the course content was intel 101 related and not necessarily focused on the dark web. Additionally, I wish there was more information on what to do with the information provided and how to use that through the course of the investigation. I realize that every investigation will be different, but we need to know how to use the tools and what that information means for the investigation.

Wish Dan would have went into a little more detail for starting the steps of the investigation on the Dark Web.

Class room was too small for that number of students. Instructor was very knowledgeable in the subject matter.

This course provided a good, general overview of dark web activities and investigations. Dan was a very knowledgeable and entertaining instructor.

Facilities were very cramped. Audio/visual limited to small television for 1st day due to technical difficulties with projector. These type of bugs should be worked out prior to class. Being hearing impaired, it was extremely difficult to hear anything on television as well as not voice projection capability during class. Large class with a restroom that could accommodate 2 people. Little time actually spent on topic of Darknet.

Dan was such a great instructor and I learned so much from his class.

The room was extremely small for the number of students. We were very crowded and stepping out of the room was almost an impossible task.

Overall, I was disappointed as I felt like the course title was misleading. It was in no way a "conference". It was a packed small classroom with one presenter and would have been more appropriately listed as a "training" not a conference. I was anticipating that there would be more in depth hands-on use of the Dark Web for investigations, however, the activities that we used were more Open-Source general investigations. I think in the future, It might be best if there were more activities browsing the dark web through TOR and how criminals actually buy crypto currencies. It was briefly touched upon but would be better to see how the actual marketplaces work instead of just showing screen shots of the marketplaces. I felt like the presenter may have been a little behind the times when it came to crypto currencies as the use of "coinbase" for example, is just one beginner's way of trading crypto. I was hoping for more information on but did not really receive it. The presenter was very nice and was open to questions but it may be best to utilize multiple presenters who are actively working in the field as it changes so rapidly from day to day.

The room was way too small and the class was way too big for good instruction. There were not enough outlets for computers. The WIFI didnt work without paying for it. That should have been included. There was very little hands on training. Way too many silly videos. I am tired of hearing about how we need to play with the browser to get used to it when I needed to use the program a little bit first. I didnt get any instruction on TAILS when it is what I needed. No one asked questions because everyone just wanted to be DONE with the class. There was too much time spent on email headers and not enough on Dark Web.

The cost of this course was way too much. First of all, you had us crammed into a small room. My elbows were basically touching both people sitting next to me the entire time. Dan did a good job teaching the content, but it didn't seem worth spending over $400 on

I believe this is a class that you need to have the requirement to attend this class the student brings a computer that they have administer rights to and actually set up the computer to explore the Dark Web/Net I would skip the email header portion and get into actually looking for human trafficking sites, drug sites, pawn site, fraud/CC etc. sites. Down load free VPN, Trails and TOR and use them.

The course was interesting but not what was expected - very little time actually on the dark web. By spending more time navigating the actual dark web, students may develop more possibilities of how the dark web can be utilized to investigate local crimes. One suggestion would be to integrate a real-world examples (non FBI) of how members of local law enforcement have used the dark web to solve crime or identify criminal behavior. In closing, the training would be more accurately titled "Dark Web Awareness Training."

This was a good class to attend. The conference room was very small and uncomfortable and in my opinion did not meet the standards required fort his class, ie outlets, working technology and room. Too small. The instructor did a good job. I would like to have seen more examples of case studies or cases investigated by the instructor and a little more assistance as far as walking the class through several investigations. I learned a lot but was left wanting more as far as experience and case study.

It would be nice to have real time practice with burner computers. Given the cost of computers, maybe you could look at purchasing a few and have the class work in teams to conduct mock investigations.

In my opinion, course provided a "10,000 foot view" of the subject matter. I feel as if the course was advertised to be more technical and in-depth than what was delivered. Subject areas such as hands-on use of TOR and TAILS by the students were entirely omitted. Examples of actual investigations conducted around darknet subject matter were all but absent. Why is it listed that a laptop is required when the students never utilized one?

Was good training, but covered many of the topics already covered in the basic online investigations course. Much of what was covered was basic, would have preferred more hands on and also at least one detailed example of a dark web investigation completed by the instructor or one he was involved with.

The Class was a Dark Web class and very little time was spent on exploring the Dark Web. There was more subject on basic evidence gathering than the Dark Web itself. I was disappointed in the amount of time and instruction with the Dark Web. I did not gain the tools that I thought I would gain attending this class. The instructor seemed to very versed in the subject, however, seemed to have a difficult time articulating the material in terms that were easily understood. I did learn how to access the dark web, but felt that was the only value of the course.

The venue where the course was held was very small and did not accommodate the students. There were very few outlets to plug in laptops, and there was not enough space to allow for comfort nor note taking. IF this training is going to be held again please get a larger venue and check for power plugs. Also would like for Police Technical to provide laptops so we can apply techniques taught during the course, and return laptops to instructor at conclusion.
