Great training and relevant information for our own Police Crisis Program here!

The above answers are based on my knowledge on the subject as related to hers. I have none, so the information she provided was mostly new to me. We will be starting a PSW program at our PD and so I should be able to use the information.

I registered for the training after reading the following as part of the training description: Provide foundational education re: building a PSW program from the ground up, specifically what to include in policy. Learn how social work and law enforcement ethics work together and what is required of PSWs to maintain ethical practice. I feel like whereas those things were talked about, it would have been nice to see some good policy examples...hear how the policy was created, who was involved, etc. I was just hopeful that with the "ground up" comment that we were going to be covering basics. I feel like we got into the weeds a bit on the specifics of Melissa's job now (what it has evolved into in 5 years with the addition of multiple personnel) which is different than focusing on what it looked like when it first began. I feel like I learned some things...but I'm still going to have to do some research into PSW policy and work standards so that I can start to prep our department for new social support hires. The platform used was not user-friendly - on either side I don't think.

Melissa gave a very informative presentation. Well worth the 8 hours. We are a seasoned PSW program but I still learned new information that I will use for the foreseeable future.

We already have an embedded program so some of this is geared towards a new program, but this was definitely beneficial for me. Instructor really allowed us to ask questions and coveted a wide scope of what a program needs.

The class provided a lot of valuable information regarding running a program for social workers and police working together.

The class provided valuable information. Presenter was very knowledgeable. Class was structured and well organized. The two day training made the content easy to digest.

This course met the stated objectives. The presenter covered a very wide range of topics and there were a lot of good points of consideration. I appreciated the section on data keeping as we always struggle with defining success and what stats are relevant. That being said, our PSW program has been in existence for over 40 years so we are very well established in other ways. This course was a bit too "101" for us personally but again, that is how it was advertised so it met the stated objectives. Thank you and thanks for all your work!

We are a law enforcement agency, but parole (versus police). Much of the content was not relevant nor could be tailored to fit our program. That said, the instructor herself was very good!

This was a great training however I think the presentation could be more engaging with the audience.
