Enjoyed this training immensely! The instructor was witty and encouraging, checked participating agency social media before class and had helpful kudos for each participant, presented examples of pertinent subject matter, and was extremely engaging.

I think the training and what was taught would be very beneficial in growing the social media pages, but looking at the big picture, I don't believe it is going to help "build a bridge between the department and people". I personally believe it is insensitive to make jokes on a LE social media page. I don't believe trying to lighten mass incarceration is going to age well. I think the best way to build a bridge is to actually engage with people and listen to their many, valid concerns. I personally do not feel comfortable using humor on my LE social media page. We need to understand and acknowledge the people's pain. Not make jokes so they can forget. I would rather create and post content that will help people avoid incarceration and crime. Again, I personally believe the City of Brownsville, Texas' FB page's jokes are insensitive and tasteless, even though their audience is growing.
