There were a few technical difficulties but the instructor did a good job on working through them.

I said yes in this final section because I know that learning remotely has been an issue overall. I would have loved to take this coarse in person with this instructor but if I am being honest over zoom things were most at times. I enjoyed day one of the class and got a lot out of it. Day two felt like an infomercial outlining all of what excel is capable of doing. But unlike day one we didn't walk through and use the example worksheets as well as day one. As the instructor walked through day two she wasn't as detailed in the step by step instructions of what she was doing and it was hard to figure out how she got from point A to point B. Also day two went from 8am - 10am when the class was supposed to go until noon. If felt rushed.

Overall, I only took away two new things (pivot tables & formulas) from the course. Most of the material was basic functions of Excel that I had learned before taking this course. I was expecting this to be a more in-depth review. The trainer spoke very slow, and was having many difficulties which made it harder to be interested/follow along. I also wish she had an additional handout that included frequently used formulas to be able to remember them.

Overall I was able to take a couple new things out of this training the rest I either knew or have worked with it before. I was expecting for it to be more in depth training.

Instructor spent too much time on portions that were easily understood and not enough time on gray areas. Even though the class was presented on Zoom, more interaction would help to understand presented material.

GREAT JOB

The instructor was obviously passionate and knowledgeable about the topic. As a Law Enforcement Officer I didn't find this to be very valuable to me. With the instructor's background as an analyst I think that the content provided was more valuable to analysts than to cops. Even as an investigator, I don't see myself using most of what was taught. Also, the instructor spent too much time describing what was going to be done, and too little demonstrating it. It felt like 3/4 pre-describing, only 1/4 showing. I would have liked to see more actual skill demonstration.

I had little to no experience with Excel before this course. While some of it was still over my head, it helped me understand the things that I will be using.

It was a little more then what I needed to know. I might use a little of it but it was a little over my head.

-A lot of information crammed in a very short amount of time. -With technology based courses there is always going to be a varying levels of understanding/ability going into the courses. I had a good working knowledge of Excel prior to the class and the instructor moved a long very fast. -Instructor was very knowledgeable and eager to teach Excel.

Firstly, No disrespect to the instructor, but this type of course isn't appropriate for a webinar. I say this because it's way too easy to miss a step, and then everything after that is meaningless. And it isn't feasible for us to stop the instructor to ask questions or to go back. Secondly, this isn't what I thought it was. This course is meant more for an administer at a police department who puts together the annual report. I was hoping this course would show how to take CDR data and import it into Google Earth (or similar software) to show where the lat/long points are, among other things. More appropriately, the course should be named Excel for Administrators and Analysts.

I came into this class with some basic knowledge of Excel and left with even more. Thank you for the invaluable information.

I think this course needs to be more interactive (hands-on) to get the most out of it. Unfortunately with the current pandemic situation, online courses are difficult to stay on topic.
