A couple of case studies would have been nice, showing how the use of the mentioned websites and tools were useful in an investigation. Overall the class was helpful

The apps and websites that were mentioned in class will be a huge benefit for up coming cases I will be working on. The instructor was very knowledgeable and was able to give real life examples.

Good Course; however, I wish it was in person and not in webinar. Webinars make it a bit harder to hold attention plus any technical hiccups (obviously this is not fault of the company or instructor, just the current times)

Instructor was very knowledgeable and organized. Participation in the class is a great starting point for those assigned to trafficking units/groups with their respective agencies. Would definitely recommend.

Felt that there was too much explaining on the databases and it got kind of dry and points. This class would be much better if it person, but what can you do during times like this.

Perhaps including a victim's perspective?? Of course, with the victim's willingness to be interviewed of their experience.

Class was extremely useful with the usage of open source information.

This would have been better as 4 distinct 2-hr courses. So much disparate material was combined that there really wasn't a good target audience. The first two hours were what I would call "HT 101", an introduction to what HT is; suitable for patrol officers who have never seen an HT case. The second half of the first day touched on HT operations, but in a general manner. I have had briefings from people who put these ops on, and they usually go into extensive detail on chatting, UC work, risk management, communications, efficiency, case tracking spreadsheets, etc. The part of this that was useful was the intel portion: the 5 products the intel unit should be able to come up with, how that unit should be organized and dividing up the work for quick response. The morning of the second day had a lengthy block on protecting yourself online, even in a personal capacity; that's useful, but should have been a separate class. Finally, we did get into a whole host of online and computer tools, but I felt like we covered 30 or so; we therefore had so little time to spend on each it was more on an intro to the tool than an explanation on how to use or how it might be useful. Most of the tools were very specific, and would have been great for an analyst, less applicable to a detective, and not relevant to a patrol officer at all. All that being said, as an HT unit supervisor, I did learn some tips and techniques for ops, and some additional investigative tools, but that was a small slice of 8 hours.

I wish there was more victim specific information such as techniques or tips for interviewing and helping them in the process.
