Fabulous class! I gained so much practical knowledge about using Excel in this course. The tips and tricks were amazing! One suggestion I would have is to change the name to something a little less specific. It didn't really have anything to do with narcotics investigations specifically, and it is a little harder to get approval for webinars when they appear that they might not be exactly relevant to the work. Class was great though!

Course was a little more advanced then expected

I really like the interactive part of the course. Being able to follow along with guided instructions really help cement what I've learned.

Only issue was the course was viewed on a Webinair that did not permit computer audio for reasons unknown. Not a huge issue. Still prefer Webinair over the Zoom platform.

The instructor covered a lot of material and generally did a good job of proceeding logically, explaining it, and demonstrating (along with student exercises). However, I was unable to follow along since I was never able to access the main exercise file. Distributing the file at the beginning of the class was unwise, especially since it was a password protected, encrypted file. I would highly recommend distributing the file ahead of time to ensure students were able to open and use it. Because of this, the class was of limited value and I couldn't recommend it to others in the future.

This class was awesome. I never knew how to do a lot on excel, but this 8 hours taught me so much. This class was well organized and presented. The materials were easy to access and manipulate. I would not consider myself that computer savvy, and I was still able to follow along and do the practice examples pretty easily. It was an engaging class, went by fast, and would highly recommend this to anyone.

I thought the course was great and the instructor was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This was Katie’s first on-line course, but I felt it went seem less and seemed like she was a pro at it. It would be nice for the other students to be able to see each other or who else is in the class for networking purposes. I think what I missed the most about not actually physically attending the course was the networking and exchange of class roster and emails. Overall I really enjoyed the class, it was easy to stay engaged, and I learned so much more than I expected to. Thank you! -Trish

Very good course. The only issue I had was sometimes I was slowed down in areas because of my own technical difficulties, so I got a bit behind trying to catch up. Overall, good pace and very effective virtual course. I found with virtual courses I actually pay attention more so they are more effective, which is surprising.

The Instructor was very easy to listen to and clear in her instruction and obviously very knowledgeable about Microsoft Excel. The course I signed up for was Excel for Narcotics Investigations and it just didn\'t seem like that was the content(even this evaluation is titled Excel for Public Safety which is definitely more broad and administrative sounding). As a detective, I work a lot with cell phone history and data records which is a lot of phone numbers, dates, times, and geographic locations. I was hoping to somehow figure out how to navigate those efficiently without having to give them over to our analysts every time; however, going through the whole 8 hour course and trying to pick out the little bits and pieces that I needed was difficult to follow. It seemed that so much of it was just not relevant to what I thought the course was titled. BUT If I was an administrator doing spreadsheets and stats and grants and stuff, the class would be great! That being said, the instructor presented everything extremely well and is obviously a wonderful presenter - I did at times, wish I could stop and rewind things or at the end wish it had been recorded so I could go back and look at something again (even though I have the class workbook).

Over a very good training course. I like that it was focused on LE investigations, every other Excel course I have taking has being business related.

Overall, the instruction was knowledgeable and a good teacher, but seemed to be uncomfortable with the online format. With time, I'm sure that will work itself out.

Loved the instructor. She did a damn good job under difficult and unusual circumstances. Hats off to her and Police Technical.

Great course, especially one adapted for a fully online experience. I wish there was more time to do the exercises/example data entry but understood the time limitations.

The original title was Microsoft Excel in Narcotics Investigations. I assumed it was going to be specific to narcotic investigations, however the class was just all excel. Which was great, just not what I was assuming, especially when I knew excel pretty well before the class. While I was hoping it was specific to Narcotic Investigations, I still believe it was a very informative class and taught very well.

The course cover functions unfamiliar to me ie concatenate, pivot table, advanced formulas. The exercises were great tools to learn and apply on the spot otherwise it is easy to forget. Class was easy to navigate and follow along. Overall ,the Instructor maintain a steady pace allowing participants to listen to her detailed explanation first before applying the functions to produce the targeted results.

Overall instruction was great and learned new methods that will help me out with pulling data.
