David Ferris was an excellent instructor!

This was one of the first Dark Web classes were I have actually been able to use the websites and do a practical using the websites. The best part of the class was how it was a small class side and I would definitely do this class again.

Great class, learned a lot. Of no fault of the instructor, wish the training location was better prepared by hotel staff to accommodate power and coffee

Several attendees, including my team, showed up without computers to work on during class. After discussing this with other students, I learned none of us were informed that we needed a computer to get the most out of the class. This would have been useful information prior to the first day of class.

David Ferris was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching. I only wish the class could have been longer to dive deeper into some of the topics such as cryptocurrency (although Ferris did mention there was another class strictly on this subject. The size of the space was adequate to his teaching needs but it may have been easier to host the class in a computer lab or subject outfitted with more electrical outlets for the laptops. Also, and to no fault of our instructor, apparently the water and coffee served in the lobby was not open to the students. Kind of a bummer if you’re dropping several hundred bucks on a class. I would definitely recommend this class (and instructor) to anyone else interested in the subject.

While I appreciated the OSINT, I wish both days of the conference dealt with the Dark Web specifically. Learning of ways to migrate within the Dark Web and keep our identities masked.

This was a great class. I now have additional tools that I can use for my investigations. I learned more information in this class, where I actually understood the material and could apply it, than I have in other classes that I have taken. Thank you

Would be nice to be informed prior to class that a computer is needed with administrator rights due to some material needing to be downloaded to gain access. This is especially needed for those attending out of town as I was. Otherwise, great course and I thoroughly enjoyed it as I'm currently finishing my Master's in Cyber Security/Info Assurance.

I would put it out beforehand that laptops are needed for the class. Some of us had to run back to the office during lunch on the first day. I would also ensure that students downloaded TOR prior to the class for efficiency.

I enjoyed the class and learned a lot of information that was not known to me. I will use the investigative sites and tools learned from the class for my investigations.

Class was awesome! Only recommendation would be to require some open source training prior.

Fewer breaks between topics. More use of the darkweb.

The final practical was great. It would a lot better if some in smaller groups of 2-4 people.

No one knew to bring a lap top, because when registering you were not notified that one was required. Police Technical should add to the course outline that a laptop is required with TOR already installed if attending this conference/course.
